Tottenham HotspurIt’s always great to see a member of the Spurs family recognised in the Queen’s New Year Honours List.
Helen Richardson-Walsh, lifelong fan and Olympic gold medallist, received an MBE for her services to hockey after playing a key role in Team GB’s success at Rio 2016.
A regular at the Lane and also Patron of the Proud Lilywhites LGBT Supporters’ Group, Helen joined fellow Spurs-supporting Rio medallists Matt Gotrel and Richard Hounslow on the pitch at half-time during our Champions League match against Monaco at Wembley in September.
The Club tweeted its congratulations to Helen last Saturday, to which she later admitted to us: “Those ones are always my favourite.”
