Colin disappointed

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Colin Calderwood conceded that he was disappointed with his reserve side's performance after last night's goalless draw against Watford.

Chances were few and far between at Broadhall Way although we created the best of the bunch in the second half as the returning Gus Poyet went close and Jamie Slabber hit the bar.

Colin reflected: "It was a game where Watford dictated and had more of the ball in the first half. They didn't have too many shots or efforts on goal but they were the better team.

"Second half was more even but we didn't approach anything like how we've played in previous games.

"We were gradually getting there. We were a little brighter, played at a better tempo and without the ball we got around them a little more.

"Watford ran out of steam a little and you just hope you can go and nick a goal."

The plus points for the club were the return of Gus Poyet and Steve Carr, who played their first competitive 90 minutes of the season, while Chris Perry, who came on as sub at Blackburn, got another 70 minutes under his belt after his gashed knee.

Colin added: "The most important thing for club is that they came through 90 minutes and they recover okay in the next couple of days.

"It didn't quite happen for us and we were nowhere as fluent as in the other games.

"We had a game at the training ground the other day and we were nice and bright and we set up a similar way but unfortunately the balance wasn't perfect. Give Watford credit, they did well."
