Colchester v Spurs - important travel information

29 January 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Supporters travelling to our FA Cup fourth round tie against Colchester United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium should be advised that there will be Network Rail engineering work taking place across the Abellio Greater Anglia network on Saturday, January 30, 2016.

The following alterations will apply:

- Train shuttle services will operate between Stansted Airport and Cambridge; also between Liverpool Street and Broxbourne via Stratford/Hackney Downs

- Rail replacement buses will serve intermediate stations between Broxbourne and Stansted Airport; also between Broxbourne and Hertford East

- A rail replacement bus shuttle service will also operate between Broxbourne and Harlow Town via Roydon

- Stansted Express services will be operated by direct rail replacement buses

The direct services between London Liverpool Street and Colchester are not planned to be affected by these engineering works.

Remember, we kick off at 12.45pm.

Supporters are advised to check their route before they travel and to leave extra time for their journeys should they travel along these routes. To check the amended Abellio Greater Anglia timetable, click here. Alternatively, you can follow them on Twitter via @greateranglia

Weston Homes Community Stadium car park
Please note that all car parking spaces in the stadium car park are SOLD OUT.

Supporters should only come to the stadium car park if they have already purchased a parking permit for this game. Those who have purchased a parking permit are asked to arrive at least one hour before kick-off to help stewards park everyone safely before the match.

There may also be delays leaving the car park after the game, due to the number of pedestrians on site.

Park & Ride car park
The nearby Park & Ride car park will be available for matchday parking on Saturday, accessible via Junction 28 of the A12.
This is priced at £3 per vehicle and fans are encouraged to leave the car park via the Boxted Road exit (nearest to McDonalds) to make their way safely to the stadium across the Boxted Road bridge.

Alternative local car parking
A number of the businesses on Axial Way (leading away from the stadium) offer parking in their car parks on a matchday. These car parks start at £6 per vehicle – but please note that the regulation and management of these car parks are not under the jurisdiction of Colchester United Football Club.

Shuttle Buses and car parking
A full shuttle bus service will also be in operation for the match. Parking is available at Colchester Train Station and in the Three Crowns Road car park and the shuttle buses will be running from Bruff Close (by Big Yellow Storage) from 10.30am until 12.15pm for this fixture.

Parking Enforcement
Please note that United Way and Axial Way are urban clearways and, by parking on these roads, you are likely to receive a parking ticket.
