On the final day of the Club and AIA’s celebrations following the announcement of a new global partnership this week, Ledley King joined our Global Coaching team in delivering back-to-back sessions for local school children before a public appearance at Hong Kong’s main train station.
Following an early morning session for children from Kellett Primary School, the Club Ambassador join coaches Joe Staunton and Nick Hardy for a Coaching Clinic for a group of 14-16 year old underprivileged young people as part of AIA’s community outreach programme.
Like the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, AIA’s CSR programme encourages healthy living and vitality, and our Global Coaching team will help convey this message through the power of football throughout the partnership.
Following the session for the 34 youngsters at the South China Athletic Association, Ledley headed to Hong Kong Central MTR station for a unique public appearance.
The Club and AIA took over an area of one of the city’s busiest areas and provided a photo opportunity for the many passers-by, with the FA Cup and Europa League trophies on show, as well as Ledley himself, in a ‘zone domination’!
Ledley said: “It has been another great trip to Hong Kong, where we have further enhanced our relationship with AIA and been able to engage more with our growing fanbase in the region.
“A special mention must also go to Joe and Nick from our Global Coaching team for the fantastic coaching sessions they delivered in the morning, which is something the kids I am sure will never forget.”
