Club to celebrate ‘Get to know cancer’ partnership this Saturday
Mon 14 April 2014, 17:00|Tottenham Hotspur
As part of the Club’s commitment to promoting awareness and early detection of cancer symptoms, our players will wear special-edition ‘Get to know cancer’ branded shirts during this Saturday’s fixture against Fulham.
The match, which has been dedicated to ‘Get to know cancer’, follows a season of activity supporting the major NHS campaign that aims to save 1,000 lives in London by raising awareness of the importance of early diagnosis.
During the warm-up, our players will wear campaign t-shirts and exclusive match-worn shirts will be signed by players and auctioned off to raise money for cancer charities that have played an integral role in the Club’s ‘Get to know cancer’ activities this season. These include:
• CoppaFeel!
• Cancer Research UK
• Ovarian Cancer Action
• The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation
• Beating Bowel Cancer
• Bowel Cancer UK
This week will see a series of activity supporting ‘Get to know cancer’ leading up to Saturday’s game, where players, staff and volunteers will celebrate the campaign’s success to date.
If you have visited our ‘Get to know cancer’ market stall at White Hart Lane this season, or would like to tell us your thoughts on the campaign, please send us an email to gtkc@tottenhamhotspur.com . We value your feedback.
