Angela Seymour, the Club's Head of Safeguarding, has been nominated for a 'Safeguarding Stars' award by the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU).
At the Club for over 10 years, Angela has been nominated by the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) for the award which will feature at the CPSU national safeguarding event ‘Safeguarding in sport: Taking our lead from young people’ at Wembley Stadium on October 5.
The CPSU want to celebrate the outstanding achievements of those within sport who go the extra mile to ensure that children and young people are safeguarded when taking part in sports activities.
A panel of young NSPCC supporting sports people will review and select six individuals whose contributions to safeguarding children in their club, organisation or sport deserve such recognition.
