Club formally launches the start of works at new Training Centre

The Club is delighted to announce the official start of works on our new Training Centre at Bulls Cross, Enfield.

A world-class facility enabling the Club to:

  • Attract and train top quality players
  • Nurture and develop emerging talent
  • Bring a major investment to the Borough along with £2.3m funding for community programmes
  • Deliver an iconic building sensitive to the environment and location

The Club is delighted to announce the official start of works on our new Training Centre at Bulls Cross, Enfield.

Works that will transform the current site into a world-class facility to house our First Team, Development and Academy squads is now underway and was marked at a special event today (Wednesday, September 16).

Speaking at the launch event, Chairman Daniel Levy said: "Today marks a significant stage in a long and at times challenging journey to deliver a new training facility for Spurs here at Bulls Cross, one that will be the best in Europe.

"Any club with aspirations needs a world-class training centre in order to be able to attract and train top quality players.

"The Club has worked extremely closely with Enfield Council and Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, and I should like to thank them for their help in making this vision a reality.

"We are also totally committed to further developing our community programmes in Enfield with a major investment of £2.3m and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with the London Borough of Enfield."

Manager Harry Redknapp said: "This is a massive club and this new facility shows that we are continually looking to move forward and to compete at the highest level.

"It will be terrific when completed. Our players at all levels will thrive in these surroundings."

Club Captain, Ledley King said: "Having come through the ranks here at Spurs and understanding the value and importance the Club places on developing home-grown talent, this facility will provide a fantastic platform for our Academy."

Lord Triesman, Chairman of the FA said: "The development of the new Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre is a significant contribution to raising the level of facilities and resources available for football in this country. This world class facility also highlights the Club's commitment to invest in the nurturing and development of home-grown talent, something the FA strongly welcomes."

Sir Keith Mills, Non Executive Director of Tottenham Hotspur said: "The new Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre will be the best in Europe. It demonstrates the Club's long-term ambitions. Our associations with SuperSport United in South Africa, Sport Club Internacional in Brazil and San Jose Earthquakes in the USA further demonstrate our commitment to developing talent."

Works will take in the region of three years to complete.
