CLUB CLAMPS DOWN ON COUNTERFEIT GOODS

The Club has stepped up its campaign against counterfeit goods – with a staggering 1,000-plus items already removed from auction website eBay.

The Club has stepped up its campaign against counterfeit goods – with a staggering 1,000-plus items already removed from auction website eBay.

Working with a leading expert in the field, counterfeit goods removed so far include a huge range of products from replica football kits and watches, to tankards and gnomes emblazoned with our brand and logo.

The Club will be taking a more aggressive stance on this matter, commencing legal action against persistent offenders.

The rise of e-commerce, and in particular internet auction sites such as eBay, has led to a significant rise in counterfeiting activity.

A spokesman for the Club’s advisors said: “Tottenham Hotspur takes the protection of its intellectual property very seriously. As part of its brand protection, the Club is taking pro-active steps to police and enforce its rights against the sellers of counterfeit products.”
