Clint another step closer to Brazil
Clint Dempsey captained the United States to a 2-0 win against Panama in World Cup qualifying in the early hours of Wednesday.
The forward played the full 90 minutes as goals from Jozy Altidore and Eddie Johnson secured the win in front of over 40,000 fans in Seattle.
The victory took the USA to the top of the North, Central America and Caribbean qualifying zone - known as the 'Hexagon' - after five of their 10 matches.
The top three teams progress straight to the 2014 finals in Brazil.
Clint's long season still isn't over - he faces one more qualifying match against Honduras in Utah on Tuesday, June 18.
