Christian Eriksen is ready to chip in with what he hopes will be a healthy haul of goals as we bid to improve our Premier League fortunes.
Last Sunday’s disappointing home defeat to Newcastle was our second domestic loss on the spin, after going down 4-1 at Manchester City on October 18.
Christian was responsible for our side of the scoreline in that trip to the Etihad, having also hit the target in the 1-0 victory against Southampton at White Hart Lane at the start of the month - our last Premier League win.
We’ve a chance to turn our form around on Sunday as we take on Aston Villa at 4pm, with the Danish midfielder determined to play his part in front of goal.
“It has been nice to score a couple of goals recently, which have given me confidence, but it’s more important that we play well as a team,” said Christian, who netted 10 goals in all competitions last term and has three to his name so far in 2014-15.
"It makes it easier for me when we are all playing well. At the moment I’ve scored three goals which isn’t too bad - I’m quite happy with that return - but I could always score more.
“Hopefully I’ll keep getting the chances and I’ll try to take them when they come along. It’s always good to score goals and to help the team.”
