Christian Eriksen took us into his mindset as he prepared to deliver another dramatic late goal and take us to Wembley.
The Great Dane latched onto Harry Kane’s pass two minutes from time with our Capital One Cup semi-final against Sheffield United poised at 2-2 on aggregate.
Christian finished clinically to book our place in the final against Chelsea on Sunday, March 1.
It was his second goal on the night and 10th of the season after a superb free-kick in the first half - and his first goals for us in the League Cup.
The free-kick put us 2-0 up on aggregate and seemingly cruising but two goals in as many minutes from Che Adams put the Blades back on level terms - before Christian settled it.
Asked how he felt as he broke into the box, Christian was modest as ever. “I just wanted to get it on target and luckily it went in,” said the playmaker recently crowned Danish Player of the Year.
“It was a really nice feeling. It’s after you score that you get all the thoughts that we’ll be at Wembley next.
“We started well, fought hard and got ourselves in a good position but they came back and put us under a lot of pressure.
“But we've showed that we can play under pressure and we did it again - it’s not the first time we’ve scored in the last minute!
“I’m really happy and excited to play at Wembley, happy to score twice and delighted we’re on our way to the final.”
