Christian's a natural!
07 October 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Mauricio Pochettino says there is one key ingredient behind Christian Eriksen’s free-kicks.
The Danish playmaker curled home a couple of crackers as we twice came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw at Swansea on Sunday.
That made it six free-kicks since Christian’s arrival in the summer of 2013 - more than any other Premier League player in the same time.
“Christian has a natural ability, he works hard and is one of the best in the Premier League,” said Mauricio.
“It’s very important for us and I congratulate him because he scored twice and that was fantastic for the team.”
Mauricio has been known to pop home a few free-kicks himself in training, but admitted: “I can try a lot in training but I don’t have the natural ability he has!”

Meanwhile, Mauricio has been pleased with our start to the Premier League campaign - we’re seven unbeaten since our opening day loss at Old Trafford having just completed a run of seven matches in 21 days before the international break.
“We need to keep working, be positive, we have a young squad and they’ve done a fantastic job,” said Mauricio. “I have to congratulate all the staff, sports science and medical for the way the look after the players and help them to recover quickly after a lot of tough games.”
