Christian targets solid start

Christian Eriksen wants to hit the ground running at the start of the 2014-15 season.

The publication of the fixture list for the new Premier League campaign last week revealed we’ll kick-off with a trip to West Ham, followed by home games against Queens Park Rangers and Liverpool.

Danish international Christian caught the eye with a series of dynamic showings and explosive goals last term during what was his debut season at the Lane.

And with that year’s experience of the English top flight under his belt, the 22-year-old playmaker is optimistic ahead of the new term.

“Personally and for the team, I hope we can start next season really well,” said Christian, who scored 10 goals in 36 appearances in 2013-14.

“It’s been a season of ups and downs both personally and for the team. There have been some big losses but some good wins as well.

“Everyone has been in the Premier League for a season now, everyone has shown character and shown that we can bounce back.

“We now need to go and achieve our targets for next season.”
