Christian soldiers towards return
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Christian Ziege is enjoying ten days rest before embarking on ten days treatment to set him on the road back to playing again.
Our German wing-back suffered a knee ligament injury against Ipswich and stories were circulating suggesting he would be absent for six weeks or more.
Glenn has revealed that his estimates being without Christian's services for three to four weeks.
"Christian has got ten days of absolute rest to get the ligament strain right," reported Glenn. "Then he will have another ten days of intense treatment.
"So I would imagine three to four weeks at a rough guess on Christian. It might be a bit earlier, it might be a bit longer than that."
Glenn rejects the suggestion that the injury nightmares of previous seasons have made an unwelcome return.
"Every club gets injuries. The injuries we have picked up in the last three or four weeks have been in a match situation - and that happens.
"A tackle with Steffen Freund, a tackle with Christian - if you're not going to go in committed you're not going to make a tackle and you might not have injuries. That happens at every football club in the country.
"If there were things happening at the training ground, if we were getting a lot of muscle tears and strains then I would be concerned.
"Here it is just a shame that we have got four or five players out with long-term injuries and a lot of them have been unstoppable.
"Goran suffered a fractured cheekbone - there is nothing you can say about that. It's been frustrating, but a lot of things on the injury side has worked.
"If you look at Les and Darren, they amount of games they've played. They were plagued for four or five years here with injuries. You are always going to get injuries from battle when you are out there for 90 minutes.
