Chris sees both sides
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Chris Hughton can see the pros and cons of our 11-day gap between Premiership fixtures.
On one hand he would have liked to have seen us back in action at the weekend following 4-3 and 4-3 victories against Portsmouth and Charlton.
Then again, he can see the benefit of a mini-break for the players after three amazing games in seven days.
And, in his role as Ireland's assistant manager, he has the small matter of a friendly against Brazil in Dublin on Wednesday.
"When you have a run like this you don't want it to stop," pondered Chris on our five wins in six Premiership outings this year.
"On the other side, it does give players a rest - emotionally it's been a big week and it gives the players a chance to recuperate."
What a week it was. Having lost 4-3 against City in the FA Cup we responded with a 4-3 win against Portsmouth (leading 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 before scoring in the last minute) and a 4-2 success at Charlton (leading 3-0 before John Jackson's clincher made it 4-2 five minutes from time) - it's not been for the faint-hearted.
Chris reflected: "There were the minuses of the City game and that we've conceded a fair amount of goals but the wonderful plusses are the goals we've scored and Jermain Defoe's two goals in two games.
"The most pleasing thing is that at Charlton we played some good football and had four different goalscorers, including John Jackson."
