Chris seeks winning habit

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Chris Hughton reflected on the point won against Manchester City and says it is now a case of moving on and winning games.

It was an encouraging week for first team coach Chris and caretaker boss David Pleat who, since stepping in following the departure of Glenn Hoddle, have steered the team to Carling Cup victory over Coventry and the hard-fought draw at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Chris reasoned that, if we enjoyed some good fortune on Sunday, perhaps it was deserved after suffering the flip side of the coin at times this season.

"If I look at each performance, the Coventry on was better with regards to us showing the ability to score goals," considered Chris. "We realised and knew that Manchester City was going to be a very difficult game - with the way they are at home and the type of players they've got.

"We were aware of that and are also aware that we did ride our luck a little bit in that game. Possibly, that is a bit of luck we were due from various stages of this season.

"It is now a case of going on and winning games. If you can pick up draws away from home and win your home games you will finish the season in a good position in the league.

"What we have had in the last two games is a resilience about us and hopefully the team will gain in confidence from the two clean sheets. We now need to win games and, to do that, you've got to create and score goals.

"We have showed that we've got good ability in the side and possess strikers that can score goals."
