Caulker on target for Young Lions

Steven Caulker scored his first goal for England Under-21s as the Young Lions enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 win over Belgium in European Championship qualifying on Wednesday night.

The central defender - enjoying a successful loan spell in the Premier League at Swansea - rose to head home for 2-0 after Craig Dawson nodded Henri Lansbury's deep corner across the six-yard box in the 36th minute.

Lansbury had already opened the scoring and added a second for 3-0 in the second half before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wrapped it up with the fourth in injury time.

Steven was joined by Danny Rose in England's starting line-up at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium and both completed 90 minutes. Adam Smith was an unused substitute.

The win was sweet revenge after defeat in Belgium back in November and moved England seven points clear at the top of Group Eight.
