Case for defence
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Michael Brown wasn't the first and won't be the last player to commend Chelsea's defence after our 2-0 loss against the title favourites.
Led by John Terry and backed-up by Claude Makelele in midfield, Chelsea simply gave nothing away against us despite our fine start and territorial advantage in the first half.
We were mainly restricted to efforts outside the box with the exception a Robbie Keane blast over the bar in the second half and Alexei Smertin's slice from Jermain Defoe's corner floating agonisingly wide.
Michael certainly covered the miles in midfield but admitted afterwards Chelsea were too tough a nut to crack. "They are very solid, very organised and they have some fantastic players," he said.
"They are so strong defensively but they make up for that in Robben and Duff and they are always likely to nick a goal. That's how they've been winning games because they just don't concede.
"We kept going and going and going and they didn't outshine us in any way, they had the penalty and the scored right at the end when we we'd thrown everyone up.
"I suppose the only down side was that we didn't really create any clear-cut chances. We gave a good account of ourselves in terms of playing, possession and will to win but we didn't quite have enough."
