Carrier bag charge - change in legislation

05 October 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Supporters should be aware that from today - Monday, October 5 - due to a change in government regulations, all large retailers in England will be required to charge a minimum of 5p for a single-use carrier bag.

This means that our Spurs Shops at White Hart Lane - including matchday outlets - and our stores at Enfield, Harlow, Waltham Cross, Southend and Stevenage - will, by law, have to charge 5p for a single-use carrier bag from today*.

Any profits from the sale of our single-use carrier bags will be donated to the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

The Club has also introduced new multi-use, reusable bags available for purchase at £1 from our Spurs Shops. Dark blue with a drawstring, these bags have been designed with our famous cockerel crest and motto ‘To Dare Is To Do’ in white.

*Please note, the 5p charge will not apply to any items purchased via Mail Order.
