Carr revs up
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
As ever his own biggest critic, Stephen Carr says he's aiming to impose his own strengths on games more and more in forthcoming weeks - describing his current form as 'okay'.
The Irish star has been skipper in Jamie Redknapp's injury absence and is getting back to the form that led pundits to describe him as the best right-back in the Premiership.
The fact he was named in last season's PFA Premiership team suggests his fellow professionals still think that way although Steve has said all along it would take time to get back to where he was before being sidelined by a knee injury between the summer of 2001 and 2002.
A hamstring injury added to his woes at the start of last season but he's been ever-present since returning - almost a year now.
"My form is okay," said Steve before jetting off for Ireland duty this weekend. "It's nothing to talk about though.
"We've not had the best of times recently but I think we'll gradually improve and then I'll be able to start imposing my own strengths on games.
"That means getting forward more because I'm not getting forward as much as I'd like to.
"If we're defending that's what I have to do and you won't see the full-backs getting forward as much because it's about clean sheets at the moment.
"That will come with results and confidence and then I'll be able to get involved more. I'm fully fit now and it's about getting my game back. Overall I'm okay but it could be better."
