Carlo can't wait!
Carlo Cudicini is approaching his 20th year as a professional - and is excited as ever for the start of a new season.
The goalkeeper kicked-off his career in 1992-93 with AC Milan and made his debut for the Italian giants against FC Porto in the Champions League in March, 1993, aged 19.
Now 38, Carlo left Italy for England when he joined Chelsea in August 1999 and after 10 years, swapped the Bridge for the Lane in August, 2009.
With Brad Friedel an ever-present in the Premier League, Carlo played 11 times in cup competition last season and produced one of the best individual displays of the campaign at Rubin Kazan in the Europa League.
“It’s happened to me often, especially when it’s been a longer break like this one, you come up to the final two weeks and you look forward to starting again,” said Carlo.
“The fixtures came out (last week) and you start to think about the matches, the teams and the players.
“The Euros have been a good link between the end of last season and the start of next season and one of the best moments is when you start preparing for pre-season."
