Cardiff vs Spurs - JD's preview

20 September 2013|Tottenham Hotspur

Striker Jermain Defoe has re-iterated the notion that there’s never an easy game in the Premier League.

We visit Cardiff City on Sunday afternoon looking to build on last weekend’s impressive performance against Norwich City.

But JD, who bagged a brace in Thursday night’s Europa League victory over Norwegian side Tromso IL, is refusing to underestimate the abilities of a Cardiff side that has made a solid start to life in the Premier League following their promotion from the Championship.

“Cardiff will be tough, they have good players,” said Jermain. “No game is easy in the Premier League, it gets better and better and harder and harder every season.”

JD added that the lads are buoyant ahead of the Cardiff game, with the continued integration of our summer signings only strengthening the overall feeling of optimism around the club.

“We’re confident so hopefully we’ll go there and continue doing what we’re doing,” added the striker.

“The new players have been great and if we go there and win that game, it will be fantastic.”
