Lee Barnard bagged four goals and Charlie Daniels hit an 18-minute hat-trick as our Spurs XI scored XI at Canvey Island on Monday night.

Andy Barcham and Jamie O'Hara also netted two goals each as the lads looked determined to impress Clive Allen and get back to winning ways following last week's disappointing defeat at Dover Athletic.

The result was never in doubt once Daniels tucked his first away with three minutes on the clock and it was relentless stuff from the first to last whistle at Park Lane.

Daniels and O'Hara pulled the strings in the first half and Daniels was eventually involved in six goals, scoring three and setting up another three.

Barnard - back after a slight ankle injury - claimed his first to make it five just before half-time and took over in the second half, grabbing a hat-trick, the last aptly from Daniels' cross.

Barcham and O'Hara produced clinical finishes for their goals and on top of the goals, there was important game time at this level for first year Academy players Richard Stroud in goal - he was then replaced by 16-year-old James Dalton - Jake Livermore, David Hutton and Takura Mtandari.

6mins: Daniels tucked pass inside to O'Hara, 18 yards out, managed to get decent strike on goal as he was clattered by West but no problem for Wiseman.

14mins: GOAL - SPURS. Maghoma broke down the right and spotted Daniels in yards of space far post, measured low cross slotted away by Daniels in style from eight yards.

17mins: GOAL - SPURS. Daniels on the ball again, this time infield, rolled it into the path of O'Hara who struck sweet shot into bottom corner from 25 yards.

18mins: GOAL - SPURS - DANIELS HAT-TRICK. O'Hara burst from midfield into the box, Wiseman out to make a fine save but loose ball rolled outside his box to Daniels who picked his spot with his right foot from 20 yards, in off the post.
