Cameron inspires Premier League Enterprise Challenge participants

22 December 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation hosted the heats of the annual Premier League Enterprise Challenge at White Hart Lane last week, with the help of special guest Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The competition gives secondary school pupils the chance to work with their local professional club on a football business challenge set by Premier League Executive Chairman, Richard Scudamore, with the heats determining the team of students who will represent the Club in a regional round.

Teams from Enfield Grammar, Highlands, St Andrew the Apostle and Bishop Stopford battled it out, delivering presentations to a panel of judges including Kevin Fitzgerald from the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust and Sky Sports News journalist Emma Storey.

The schools were asked to come up with ideas on how to attract more fans from the USA. Cameron, who recently received a call up to their national squad, was on hand to provide advice on what supporters in the States may be looking for.

After a closely fought competition, Enfield Grammar emerged victorious with their idea of offering a Spurs concierge service, providing personalised fan trips to London for matches.

Gareth Dace, Education Officer, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, said: “The standard of entrants was extremely high this year and Enfield Grammar delivered an excellent presentation tailored to the requirements of fans in the USA. We will work with them on developing the idea for the next round and wish them the very best of luck.”
