Cameron and Milos to meet in U20 World Cup!
10 June 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Milos Veljkovic will meet in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup quarter-final in New Zealand on Sunday.
The pair made it through to the last eight of the competition on Wednesday.
Cameron played 90 minutes as the USA scrapped to hold onto a 1-0 lead against Colombia in Wellington.
Goalkeeper Zack Steffan was America's hero with a number of fine saves, including denying Jarlan Berrara from the penalty spot with 10 minutes remaining. In the end, Rubio Rubin's goal on 58 minutes was enough.
Milos also played a full shift as Serbia left it late before completely turning around their last 16 tie against Hungary in Auckland.
Trailing 1-0 to Bence Mervo's goal in the 57th minute, Serbia left it until the 91st minute to level through Ivan Saponjic and then won it when Attila Talaber put through his own net with only two minutes remaining of extra time.
Milos and Cameron, who played together for our Under-21s last season, now meet as Serbia take on the USA in the quarter-finals in Auckland on Sunday, kick-off 4.30pm local time (4.30am UK).
