Calum Davenport is back in full training after making a swift recovery from hernia surgery. The central defender was forced to come off at half-time of the Carling Cup tie against MK Dons towards the end of October and underwent surgery a week later. Now, just two weeks on, he is ready resume training towards a playing return.
"I'm feeling good now after being out for a few weeks and have been out running," reported Calum. "The operation I had went really well.
"I have had it before and being out for three weeks is not too bad because it is usually six to eight weeks. It is very pleasing," added the 23-year-old, who admitted it was a wrench to withdraw from the encounter at the National Hockey Stadium.
"I wouldn't usually come off, but I didn't feel right and with being 2-0 up I didn't want to aggravate it even more.
"It's all sorted now and I'll be back playing soon. I'm feeling good and when I get through the next few days I'll be able to really kick on."
