Brown at Spurs Lodge
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Michael Brown insists he made up his mind that he wanted to join Spurs on his first visit to the club.
The midfielder, 27 later this month, has been snapped up from Sheffield United and trained for the first time at Spurs Lodge today.
A host of clubs coveted the former England Under-21 international after a string of inspirational displays as the Blades reached the FA and League Cup semi-finals last season.
"This is a massive club with a lot of history," he told the gathered press this afternoon. "Once I came down here to talk I knew it was the place I wanted to be.
"I know the team is struggling a little but the current situation didn't come into it.
"I'd already made my mind up before we'd dropped a couple of positions and anyway, you are always looking the other way. Looking at the ability of the squad I don't think that will be a problem. There are some fantastic players here."
Michael will now realise his dream of playing in the Premiership.
"It's the place to play," he added. "That was my aim for a few years at Sheffield United and finally I've come here and I'm now looking to do that.
"I've trained for the first time and the lads have been great. It's a buzz to be sat around the changing room with such great players and they all seem good lads.
"I want to play my football now and do the best I can."
Unfortunately, suspension means he'll have to wait until our Premiership clash against Liverpool to make his debut.
