Bringing back ball games to Haringey

It’s been a busy week for Ledley as the former skipper was also supporting a Haringey Council campaign to remove the ‘No Ball Games’ signs within the borough.
You will no doubt be familiar with signs such as this up and down the country in residential areas discouraging young people from playing sports such as football to prevent damage and disturbances.
However, with childhood obesity on the rise in the Borough, Haringey Council feels such signs send out the wrong message when healthy and active lifestyles amongst young people should be encouraged.
As a local sporting hero and role model for many young people, Ledley gave the Club’s backing, citing the importance of being able to kick a football around on the estate where he grew up during his early days.
