BRIDGE OF SIGHS

Juande Ramos didn't feel there was much between the sides after Saturday's 2-0 reverse at Chelsea.

Juande Ramos didn't feel there was much between the sides after Saturday's 2-0 reverse at Chelsea.

Juliano Belletti's spectacular strike after 19 minutes was the difference in the first half with Petr Cech forced into a fine save to turn away Steed Malbranque's volley.

Despite periods of possession after the break, Cech wasn't really tested again and Shaun Wright-Phillips drilled home from the edge of the area with 10 minutes left to secure the home side's 2-0 win.

"It was a very evenly-balanced game," pondered Juande afterwards. "Domination of the game passed from one side to the other but that balance wasn't reflected in the scoreline.

"The fact is we've conceded two goals from outside the area and lost the game, so at the end of the day, it's a bad result for us."
