Break time for Gus
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Gus Poyet feels that the team may be forced to play on the break against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Fulham are a team that like to keep possession for long spells and the livewire midfielder suspects they will come forward with some venom, perhaps turning the encounter into an open game.
"It's going to be a totally different game if you compare it with the last few that we've had," pondered Gus.
"Fulham are going to go forward for sure. They are going to pass the ball around so it is going to be very difficult to defend.
"While you've got to be very careful with defending, you will get the chance to get one on the counter attack as well so probably it is going to be open."
Gus echoes the thoughts of the manager in saying that the team must defend better and perhaps develop a grittier style of play in order to get back on track.
"At the moment it is not the best game for us to have an open game because we are not scoring and are conceding goals. We have to try and defend better at the back - I am not talking about defenders I am talking about the team!
"We need to be together and not leave too much much space between us and probably play, you know, ugly football - but productive."
Meanwhile, Christian Ziege feels the boys will be in for a tough ride on Sunday and past results against them this season will count for little.
"I think Fulham are a fantastic team, even though we've won against them twice," he said.
"It is always difficult, especially away from home, to play against them.
"We have to put things right now and hopefully, if we can score on Sunday, we can win a game."
