Bradford City v Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham travel to West Yorkshire on Saturday hoping to improve on the worst away record in the Premiership that has seen George Graham's team take only one point from their eight trips this term.

Meanwhile Bantams' boss Jim Jefferies has rejuvenated the club since replacing Chris Hutchings in the manager's chair last month. Taking four points from his first two games, the Scottish firebrand has moved into the transfer market bringing Dutchman Robert Molenaar and fellow Scot Billy McKinlay to Bradford in the club's bid to avoid relegation.

The pair have been signed to improve on Bradford's poor tackle success rate of 70% where only West Ham have a poorer record. Nevertheless individually in Stuart McCall the Bantams can boast, one of the best tacklers in the division. The inspirational McCall has won 44 challenges this term - only six players have won more.

In comparison to Bradford, Spurs have a similarly low tackle success rate. Perhaps the two and a half month absence of captain Sol Campbell has contributed to their meagre total of 70% from 368 challenges.

It's been a confusing time for Spurs fans. Dis-heartened by a Worthington Cup walloping by Birmingham City, they were ready to increase the pressure on Graham and chairman Alan Sugar at the club's lack of progress. But successive home wins over high-flying Liverpool and Leicester and the emergence of Alton Thelwell and Ledley King has renewed optimism in the blue and white half of north London.

Last Saturday's match at Old Trafford did not daunt the youngsters, but despite competent displays' both will hope for a better outcome at Valley Parade. Spurs have not won at Bradford in over 65 years, but SpursBET reckon at 150/1 they can change that with King scoring the first goal in a 2-1 win for the Londoners.

Spurs will be without the services of Darren Anderton through suspension, so the Bantams' midfield trio of McCall, McKinlay and Dean Windass might enjoy the greater spells of possession although they could do with improving their passing accuracy of 67%. Only Coventry have completed fewer passes than the Bantams, while Spurs have the seventh-best completion rate in the Premiership with 71%.

If Bradford are to win their second successive match, then they need Stan Collymore to make a quick recovery after being attacked in a Birmingham nightspot, the former Aston Villa hit-man enjoys a good record against Spurs scoring five goals against them in his last six Premiership duels with the Londoners. This will also be Collymore's last match before serving a three-match suspension following an FA charge.

But Opta predict that the most 'Stan the Man' will help to deliver for Bradford on Saturday is a solitary point as George Graham's team earn a hard-fought draw (11/5 with SpursBET) in a tight encounter.

Matchday Referee: N Barry

Stuart McCall will not have fond memories of Neale Barry after the referee sent him off for two bookable offences at Charlton last month. The Lincolnshire official is fairly lenient though, only awarding an average of 2.5 yellow cards per game compared to Graham Poll's average of 3.7 cautions.

Gareth Whalley has joined David Wetherall on the long-term injury list as he requires a hernia operation, while Stan Collymore is serving a three-match ban. Spurs will check on Sergei Rebrov's thigh problem before naming their line-up.
