We are pleased to announce that Brad Friedel has raised over £5,500 for Tottenham Hotspur Foundation after putting his football boots to one side to take part in Celebrity Trader, a financial trading challenge for City Index.
The charity challenge sees a different celebrity each month take to the markets in order to try and make as much profit as possible for their chosen charity.
Brad chose to fundraise for Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, the Club’s charitable arm, which has to date created over 2.4million life-changing opportunities for people living in some of the most deprived areas of north London and overseas.
During the challenge, Brad learnt how to speculate on price levels across major global markets to try and net a profit and avoid losing face with fellow celebrity traders including Michael Owen and Deborah Meaden. Brad started with an initial balance of £2,500 and successfully traded on the world’s most traded market, Foreign Exchange (Forex).
Brad said: “I’m thrilled to announce that I have raised over £5,500 for Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. During my time at the Club, I have witnessed first-hand the great work delivered by the Foundation and the impact that it continues to have on so many people’s lives.
“Thanks to City Index for inviting me to take part in this great initiative which I have thoroughly enjoyed. It means a lot to give something back to the Foundation which works tirelessly all year round to create life-changing opportunities for disadvantaged people.”
