Bongani helps SA progress, Ade on target in ACN
Bongani Khumalo led South Africa into the knockout stages of the Africa Cup of Nations after a dramatic final group match on Sunday.
The central defender and South Africa's captain played the full 90 minutes as Bafana Bafana came from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw against Morocco to finish top of Group A.
The hosts trailed to Issam El Adoua's early goal before finally levelling on 71 minutes, May Mahlangu on target.
But Morocco hit back again for 2-1 - only for Siyabonga Sangweni to level it again four minutes from time in Durban.
South Africa top the group from Cape Verde and will play the runner-up from Group B - a tight group decided on Monday - in the quarter-final on Saturday.
ADE STRIKES FOR TOGO
Emmanuel Adebayor was on target as Togo beat Algeria 2-0 in the Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
Ade struck in the 32nd minute in Rustenburg, controlling Moustapha Salifou's header before slotting home under Algeria goalkeeper Rais Mbolhi. Dove Wome secured victory in second half injury time.
Having lost out to a late goal against tournament-favorites Ivory Coast in their opening match in Group D, Togo now face a showdown against Tunisia in Wednesday for a place in the knockout stages.
Tunisia have the same record - a win against Algeria, loss against the Ivory Coast - but a worse goal difference having lost 3-0 against the Elephants.
