Hugo Lloris insists performance is key against in-form Southampton on Sunday.
The goalkeeper was left disappointed after defeat against West Brom in our last Premier League match at the Lane a fortnight ago.
Since then, we’ve battled to a point after leading at Arsenal and fought out another 1-1 draw against Besiktas in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Hugo was outstanding against the Turkish side, making save after save as we looked set for a 1-0 win until we conceded a late penalty.
But his focus soon turned to the Saints.
“It’s a big game, really important for us to confirm the point we got at the Emirates,” he said.
“We have to be focused. We know the importance of this game after the West Brom defeat. That was a bad feeling.
“The principle thing is to make a good performance and as for the result, we will see what we deserve.”
Hugo has been impressed with Southampton’s start and the Saints come to the Lane on the back of five straight wins in all competitions.
“We are in the Premier League and every team has a lot of skill,” he added. “We have to be focused on our performance, concentrate individually and collectively and if we do our job, I’m sure we will be okay.”
