'Big game for us' - Ben

20 March 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Ben Davies says our FA Cup defeat at the hands of Leicester will act as a warning for the team ahead of tomorrow’s (Saturday, March 21) Premier League encounter at the Lane.

We dominated that fourth round tie in January (20 shots, 63% possession) and led 1-0 until the 83rd minute when Leonardo Ulloa levelled. Jeffrey Schlupp then hit the winner in added time.

That was our only home defeat in the last 15 in all competitions.

"The players are fully focused on getting back to winning ways after last week’s loss at United - that was only our third defeat in 15 in the Premier League.

“This is a big game for us and we know we need to try to bounce back after the result last weekend,” said Ben.

“Leicester are fighting for their lives and they will be determined to try and get something out of the game.

“That result in the FA Cup keeps us on our toes, it’s a warning there for us that they have showed us what they can do if we give them the opportunity.

“But we can’t think about that game or even Boxing Day, we have to focus on our game, try to impose ourselves and if we play the way we can, I’m sure we can get the three points.”
