'Big game for both teams' - Eric

Sun 24 August 2014, 09:27|Tottenham Hotspur

An ever-present player in our opening two games of the season, Eric Dier wants to see us continue our winning trend when we take on Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.

We’ve kicked-off the 2014-15 campaign with back-to-back victories against West Ham United and AEL Limassol, with defender Eric the unlikely hero at Upton Park last weekend after getting forward to net a stoppage time winner.

Now, as we prepare for our first home competitive outing of the season, the 20-year-old is confident we can see off the challenge of Harry Redknapp’s side – but is taking nothing for granted.

“Win or lose, you always want to win your next game of course,” said Eric, assessing our fixture against a Rangers side that suffered defeat against Hull City last weekend.

“QPR lost and will want to bounce back quickly, so even at this stage it’s a big game for both teams.

“We won last week, confidence is high and we want to keep things ticking along and maintain momentum.

“We’re at home for this first time in this Premier League season as well, so we want to put on a decent performance in front of our own fans.”
