Big day for Deano

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Dean Richards says tomorrow's encounter with his former club Wolves is a game he has been particularly looking forward to.

The inspirational central defender had a four year spell at Molineux between 1995 and 1999, making 145 appearances and was also a teammate of a certain Robbie Keane.

The Black Country outfit are now finally a Premiership side after several near misses and Dean is delighted that his second club has achieved their top flight target.

"It is game that myself and Robbie have been looking forward to," he smiled. "It is great to see Wolves in the Premier League, it has taken time, but their fans deserve it and I hope they enjoy it."

Dean admits that the players did feel a burden of expectation during his time with Wolves when pundits continually stated that they were a Premiership club in all but official status - playing in a magnificent arena in front of bumper crowds.

"It obviously bought pressure when I was there. We were the golden boys of Division One and every team that came to Molineux saw the beautiful stadium, nice changing rooms, big crowd and great atmosphere.

"It made other teams want to play well there. No disrespect to other teams, but one week they were playing at Molineux and another at Grimsby - the stadiums were leagues apart then. It was more of a hinderance than a help at times.

"When I was there we were in the play-offs two out of three seasons and were so close. This season they are finally up where they should be and where they want to be.

"I think this is a key season for them, it important that they stay up now and build on that."

Dean will come across a familiar face in the Wolves camp tomorrow, but from his time at Southampton. Manager Dave Jones recruited Dean while in charge of Southampton and the player has only good things to say about his old boss.

"Dave took me to Southampton and I always got on very well with him. He is a decent bloke and I glad to see him doing well after the troubles he had.

"It is great that he is doing well for Wolves and he will be remembered by the fans because many managers have tried to get them in the Premier League while he has succeeded."
