BETWEEN A ROCHA AND A HARD PLACE

Ricardo Rocha admitted to having mixed feelings after the draw against Arsenal.

Ricardo Rocha admitted to having mixed feelings after the draw against Arsenal.

Robbie Keane rewarded a bright start with the opener in the first half but Arsenal dominated after the break, hitting the woodwork twice before Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor turned the game around in their favour.

However, with added time running out, Jermaine Jenas drilled home a spectacular equaliser to rescue a point.

So did Ricardo, who played left-back on the day, feel pleased or disappointed afterwards? "Overall I have to say I think we're disappointed because we played a fantastic first half, controlled the game and could have scored more than one goal," reflected the Portuguese international.

"In the second half we went down. We couldn't control it any more, Arsenal picked up their game, played in our half, scored twice and it was difficult for us.

"Thankfully in the final minutes we believed, we pushed forward again and scored a great goal with Jermaine.

"That goal gave everyone a lift because we knew how important these games are, especially for the fans. Also, one point is better than none at all when we're trying to make it into the UEFA places."
