Ben Davies hopes we can build some winning momentum with an extended run in the Capital One Cup.
We take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth round at White Hart Lane this evening, having knocked out the Seagulls’ Championship rivals Nottingham Forest last month.
Left-back Ben, who won the competition with Swansea City in 2013, is determined to see us through into the latter stages – although he is refusing to underestimate Sami Hyypia’s side tonight.
“We’re expecting a tough game at the Lane and we’re not taking anything for granted,” said the Welsh international.
“We’re ready for the game. It’s the only focus on our minds right now and if we can get the win we’ll be happy as a group.
“It’s a good opportunity for us to get a good performance under our belts and get back to winning ways after the weekend.
"A cup run builds momentum with the more wins you get. Hopefully a good result tonight will give us a good opportunity to kick on and hopefully pick up some silverware at the end of the season.”
