Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Ben Thatcher's nightmare is finally over. After almost a year on the sidelines he returned to competitive action on Monday night and is looking forward to 'wiping the slate clean' and starting again.
'Thatch' last featured in the Premiership in a 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa last November.
He started to struggle with what he thought at the time was a groin injury but, in fact, turned out to long-term hip problem.
"It's been a nightmare," Ben confessed. "I came to Tottenham, got injured near enough straight away, tried to play with it and did myself no favours.
"In the end it was just a battle to find out what the problem was and to be fair to the physios, they've been different class.
"I was sent to the top man in the country about my hip and once I had the operation they've got me sorted and it feels 100 per cent."
Ben attempted to return in January but clearly wasn't right.
He eventually went under the knife in May and as the rest of his team-mates enjoyed their summer holidays, he spent most of the summer at Spurs Lodge.
He recalled: "The last 90 minutes I played was against Chelsea for the reserves at Kingstonian.
"It was an injury that dragged on and dragged on, finally they found out what it was, rested it for a while, still wasn't quite right so I had an operation in May.
"It's been a long, hard road. I was in every day during the summer and now I'm reaping the rewards for that.
"I feel on my way back to full fitness and a the bonus is that there are no side effects from my hip at all."
The defender is finally able to look forward. "This has given me the chance to wipe the slate clean," he insisted."I've had the operation, I'm back and now it's my chance to show everyone what I can do. I've missed a lot of football that I can't get back and now I want to steer clear of injuries for the next few years.
"I've got the rest of this season and another three more years at the club.
"Touch wood I'll steer clear of injuries and believe in myself that I'm doings right and then if things don't go my way, they don't go my way."
