Benji Stambouli says the players will put all thoughts of Wembley to one side and focus on getting three points at West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
We return to Premier League action at The Hawthorns after three consecutive cup competition outings – the latest of which saw us book our place in the Capital One Cup final as we triumphed 3-2 on aggregate over Sheffield United.
Benji, who started in central midfield in both legs against the Blades, spoke of his delight at helping us reach a Wembley final in his first season in English football – but insists the focus of the players has quickly turned towards picking up more points on the domestic scene.
“I’m very proud of the team and I have a lot of good feeling in my heart after Wednesday’s match,” said the Frenchman.
“We showed our fighting spirit and a good mentality at Sheffield United and we showed that we always fight until the end to get the victory.
“It was a good overall result for us but we are professionals and we will quickly change our mindsets to focus on the game on Saturday.
“We will go to West Brom and battle like we did on Wednesday night. Every game in England is a hard game but we have to try to win and I believe we can do it.”
