Benji focused

Benji Stambouli has channelled his energy into hard work as the players continue preparations for our return to Premier League action against Sunderland on Saturday.

The French midfielder joined us from Montpellier on Transfer Deadline Day and was with the full squad for the first time on Thursday as the lads returned from international duty.

He admitted to being ‘very excited’ by the prospect of Premier League football drawing ever closer.

“I have a lot of energy and I have to be focused on my work to play well and not to be too excited like a child!” said Benji.

“I’m very happy. The training has been hard and we’ve worked a lot with a lot of intensity. It’s been good for my preparation to play for Spurs.

“I have to continue to work hard to be ready and to be at the same level as the rest of the team.”
