Beni fixes it for Jim

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Jim Jefferies feared the worst when Chris Armstrong put us 3-1 up on Saturday.

The new City boss admitted that he was impressed with how we’d kept possession and that we looked a danger with Armstrong and Les Ferdinand up front.

He was also naturally delighted with how his side fought back from 3-1 down to eventually equalise in the final minute.

Jefferies said: “The difference between the two teams was that we gave it away too easily.

“We try difficult balls all the time, never take a touch when it’s on, never pass it when it’s on and that’s what Tottenham did to us.

“They moved it around, kept good possession and caused us problems with the front two with good movement, good strength, good in the air and at 3-1 down we looked like we were going to lose the match.

“But as I said before if it’s about spirit and the will to stay up we showed that.

“We maybe rode our luck a few times but Matt Clarke didn’t really have too much to do and it wasn’t until we went 3-1 down that we started again. We then played well for a spell of 25 minutes.

“Perhaps we’re a bit cautious, a bit frightened. We worked hard but the difference between the sides was that you’ve got to keep the ball. I don’t think we strung three passes together.

“From the minute we went 3-1 down we went about them and started to believe in ourselves. Credit to the players that we fought back and in our position every point is precious.”
