Ben Davies hopes to put his prior experiences of Europa League football to good use this season.
Our 21-year-old left-back made seven appearances in the competition for Swansea City last term as the Welsh side got through to the last 32.
While he hopes to go further in a Spurs shirt this time around, he’s determined to use his existing knowledge of the competition to our advantage – although his initial focus remains on ensuring we get past AEL Limassol in the two-legged Play-Off Round.
“It’s going to be a good experience in the Europa League,” Ben declared as we prepare to face the Cypriot side in Larnaca this evening.
“I know what to expect with the travelling and then the Premier League games at the weekend, so I feel I know what I’m coming into.
“I think once you get into the Group Stage it can sometimes be a bit easier than these knockout Play-Off games, so we’ve got to concentrate fully against Limassol and I’m sure if we do that we’ll be able to get ourselves into the next round.”
