Ben Thatcher is fully recovered from the bout of food poisoning that forced him to miss last weekend's encounter with Everton.
Originally down to start against the Blues, Ben had to pull out and now hopes to feature in Saturday's game against Aston Villa.
"I literally went down with it about 6 o'clock on the night before the game," reported Ben. "I felt a bit better in the morning, but hadn't slept and felt sick all night. I had my breakfast and didn't feel right.
"I'm not sure what caused it, but it wasn't a nice feeling. I had managed to get in the team the week before and, although we lost, I was pleased with the chance to play."
After the Everton game, Glenn commented that it was a blow to lose Ben because he was one of the 'brighter spots' in the disappointing defeat to Southampton.
"I don't know if there can be any bright spots when you lose 4-0, but I was just happy to be playing.
"I had my foot back in the door, was starting against Everton and was looking forward to it. The only plus side is that I only missed that day and was back in training on Monday.
"My fitness levels were not affected by it - it was just a shame really."
Looking ahead to the trip to Villa Park, Ben feels that it is a game we need to win in order to continue with the push up the table. He does, however, have great respect for opposing manager Graham Taylor.
"They're a good solid unit and Graham Taylor's record is different class. As English managers go he's got to be right up there with the likes of Bobby Robson.
"They will be a physical outfit, well organised and hard to break down. We've just got to match them - we need the points now to start pushing on a bit.
"It will be a very good tight game, I think."
