Ben attends Kick It Out workshop at the Lane

14 April 2017|Tottenham Hotspur

Ahead of this weekend’s match against Bournemouth, Ben Davies took part in a Kick It Out workshop at the Lane to highlight the Club’s commitment to tackling discrimination within the game.

Ben is continuing his role as a 'Next 20' Ambassador for Kick It Out that sees 20 young football stars from across the Premier League, Football League and Women’s Super League spreading key messages on equality.

He sat in on the workshop delivered by Kick It Out for students aged 12-19, answering a number of questions about his career to date and offering his thoughts on diversity and inclusion.

He said: “The whole idea of Kick It Out is to promote the importance of equality. As players we can help to drive this message home to young people by coming and speaking to them at events like today.

“By educating people from an earlier age, they can help us put a stop to all types of discrimination. The students listened to what we had to say and seemed to recognise why it was so crucial.”

The Club will show its support for Kick It Out prior to Saturday’s match against Bournemouth, with the players warming up in campaign t-shirts.

Kick It Out is football’s equality and inclusion organisation, working to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and campaign for positive change.
