Belgian side Gent in Europa League
12 December 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
We have been drawn against Belgian side Gent in the UEFA Europa League round of 32.
The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland, today (Monday, December 12).
As a seeded team by virtue of being one of the four best-ranked third-place sides from the UEFA Champions League group stage, we will play the second leg at home.
Ties will be played in principle on February 16 and 23 with exact details and ticket news to be confirmed in due course.
Gent are currently fifth in the Belgian top flight with 32 points from 18 games.
They won two, drew two and lost two of their six Europa League group stage games, finishing second in Group H behind Shakhtar Donetsk.
Our former Egyptian international striker Mido played for them between 2000-01, scoring nine goals in 20 appearances.
