FA PREMIER ACADEMY LEAGUE

Spurs U17s 2-1 Charlton Athletic

Jimmy Neighbour's comeback kings made sure they stayed top of the pile in the FAPAL thanks to Lee Barnett's second half strike.

The boys trailed to Charlton's 15th-minute opener before Mark Yeates smashed home a loose ball from the edge of the area for the equaliser on the half-hour.

Barnett made sure the points stayed at home when he sweetly struck home from 18 yards following Mario Noto's run and cross.

"It was a tough game and the lads came through it well," reflected boss Jimmy. "We're still top and we're doing fine at the moment."

Spurs U17s: Rutherford, Perry, Dobson, Barnett, Foster, Tyrie, Noto, Black (Watson, 75), Malcolm, Yeates (Price, 75), Wettner. Unused: Eyre, Hicks.
