Barnard's just luver-Lee for Colin
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Colin Calderwood was full of praise for youngster Lee Barnard's performance in the reserves' 2-1 win against Watford on Monday night.
The 17-year-old refused to be intimidated by Watford's bigger, older central defensive trio and was he involved in both Oyvind Leonhardsen and Yannick Kamanan's goals.
His enthusiasm, determination and natural ability had the crowd on their feet and certainly suggested a bright future for the Under-19 striker.
Boss Colin enthused: "Lee did very well up front playing against three big, strong central defenders.
"He held his own and it was only grit and determination, allied to his ability, that got him into the position for the second goal - honesty to stay on his feet when probably he could have fallen over.
"He gives his all in games and, as I've said before, we want to get as young a reserve side as possible and give them the opportunity to play in the reserves and play at a standard that will keep bringing them on.
"We hope we can do more and more of that."
