Andre Villas-Boas is looking forward to returning to Hong Kong: “The Barclays Asia Trophy lets you step up a level in terms of opposition because of the teams involved in it. It gives us the opportunity to go abroad and continue our preparation with good facilities. I’ve been involved before with Chelsea, and I think it’s an excellent tournament and it’s something that we’re looking forward to going to.

“It is always wonderful to have the opportunity to meet and greet and engage fans that are in Asia, especially as it is difficult for them to come across and see our games. But the Barclays Premier League has become such a powerful product worldwide and touching the emotions of people there is important.”

Our participation in the 2013 Barclays Asia Trophy is the latest in a line of initiatives designed to provide fans from across the region with ways in which they can get closer to the team and players.

In addition to our Facebook and @SpursOfficial Twitter pages, we recently launched an official presence across two Chinese social media platforms, Sina - - and Tencent -

The response from our Chinese fan base has been excellent and the Club is actively engaged with fans across these platforms to provide them with all the latest news, exclusive video interviews and promotions to win official merchandise.

In response to demand from fans, the Club has established a number of Official Supporters Clubs across Asia.

Spurs supporters can now meet-up regularly with other fans in Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, Indonesia and Guangzhou.
